Today, I wanted to stay local around vicenza. So, with limited options on a Sunday, I decided on Vignaiolo Contra Soarda. Just 6 mins from beautiful medieval Marostica, this winery and restaurant is what I needed: on a hillside looking out into the vineyard while tasting local cheeses and trying a couple of their wines (Musso was an excellent red and the shindy rose had such a sweet smell). The family-run winery is on its third generation. You can also ask for a tour. Highly recommend if you have guests that want to see Italian wine countryside, but you don't have time to drive to Valpolicella or Prosecco regions!

My wife and I are driven up the mountains of Veneto for an aperitivo, an aperitivo is a pre-meal drink; the experience of aperitivo is a cultural ritual. Typical aperitivo fare includes crackers, olives, meats, cheeses, and bread. If you have ever enjoyed a salumi-and-formaggi board with a glass of wine you must visit Vignaioli Contra Soarda. Excellent selection of local wines, both red and white, I highly recommend the cutting board with cheeses and salami.
Excellent location with panoramic views.
Absolute gem. Almost everything that they serve comes from their own farm, ie. wine, meat, cheese, eggs, olive oils… The difference in taste is significant. It’s also very lovely for aperitivo.
Incredible family endeavor. From the food, to the wine, the staff, this is a five-star experience all around. Definitely worth a stop on your journey. Highly impressive sustainable efforts happening here that will change the future of vineyards worldwide.
Great visit here! Beautiful venue, wine is delicious, slightly expensive food is the downside. €18 for the charcuterie board is a lot.
Very good view in a lovely location: summer is the right season to visit this place. Open spaces to taste wines and aperitivos outside the restaurant.
Good service and menu variety.. maybe dessert options can be improved.
I can't give 5 stars due to a little too high prices since wines and several products are local I'd expect lower prices.
A very nice and authentic place to spend some quality time admiring the landscape and having a refreshing glass of cold white wine with some appetizers.
